Setup

Everyone scans the code, or types it in, and enters a name. When everyone is in, press Start.

Each person gets a secret role at random. Your phone shows your role, your team, and what your power does. Keep it hidden.

Night

Everyone still alive taps a target on their phone. Nobody else sees the choice.

• Mafia team (Godfather, Mafioso, and from 8 players the Blackmailer and Janitor): one kill, chosen by the Godfather. The Janitor cleans one player, so their role stays hidden if they die. The Blackmailer silences one player for the day. If the Godfather dies, the first living Mafioso becomes the Godfather. If the last Mafioso dies, a Blackmailer or Janitor steps up as Mafioso.
• Serial Killer: works alone. One kill each night. The Mafia can't kill the Serial Killer, and the Serial Killer can't kill the Godfather.
• Doctor: protects one player, including you. Three uses.
• Sheriff: checks one player for suspicious activity.
• Escort: distracts one player, so their power does nothing that night.
• Survivor: goes on alert. Anyone who visits you that night dies.
• Villagers: no power, but they still tap a suspect.

Day

The laptop announces who died. Then the town talks it out. Who do you trust, and who is lying?

• Silenced players can only say "I am blackmailed."
• Your journal is private. Tag people as Trusted, Suspicious or Evil. The whole table's tags are shown at the end.
• The Mayor can reveal themselves. Their vote then counts three times.

Vote

Everyone still alive votes to hang one player. The most votes is hanged.

• A tie means a re-vote between the tied players.
• If the re-vote ties again, nobody is hanged, and the night begins.
• If the Jester is hanged, the Jester wins. The game carries on, and the Jester gets revenge from the grave the next night, taking one player who voted for them.

Winning

• Town wins when every Mafia member is dead, and no Serial Killer is alive.
• Mafia wins once every player who is not Mafia is dead. Jesters don't count. If three full days in a row pass with no one dying, nobody wins. A day counts only if nobody dies that night and nobody is hanged.
• Serial Killer wins as the last player alive.
• Jester wins by being hanged, even if the game goes on after.
